The Galaxy Note 5 redefines the phablet experience with Quad HD display which makes it perfect for watching video content, a 16-megapixel rear camera to capture breathtaking images and 4GB RAM to support effortless multitasking.
The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display of Quad HD (2560x1440) resolution for ultra-sharp visuals, so you can watch videos, browse the web, or play games with amazing clarity. The resolution makes the device suitable for viewing 4K content. The device also comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus like the Galaxy Note 4, which allows you to be creative and more productive. The Galaxy Note 5 allows writing on the display with the S Pen even when the display is off, so you can quickly jot down important information without wasting time waking up the device.
Clocked at 2.1 GHz, the device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset that is designed to deliver seamless performance. Also, the phablet has 4 GB of RAM to pave way for smoother multitasking and makes it effortless to switch among multiple apps without any glitches. For installing apps and storing pictures, videos and other media, users get 32 GB of internal storage which is unfortunately not expandable.
At the rear is a 16-megapixel camera meant to take quality high-resolution snaps and simultaneously offers features like HDR Rich Tone, Fast Autofocus, and Selective Focus. Users can take selfies using the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which has a wide angle lens for fitting more in a single frame.
There is 4G LTE connectivity that assures blazing fast connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC; a microUSB 2.0 port enables lightning quick file transfers to and from a PC. The phone comes with a 3,000 mAh battery that supports quick wireless and wired charging for charging in 90 minutes when a USB cable is used and in 120 minutes when the user opts for a wireless charger.
Similar to the previous Note device, there is a heart rate sensor on the back which lets you monitor your heart rate right on the device, and users can also tap the sensor to take self-portraits in the camera. There is also a fingerprint sensor that allows users to unlock the phone with a simple swipe, make quick payments on PayPal and other merchants, sign into websites, and access private files and folders. The Galaxy Note 5 is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UX.
